Teams Phone — make Microsoft Teams your phone system.
Your team already lives in Teams all day. Plug PSTN calling into it and you collapse three apps into one. Direct Routing, Operator Connect or Microsoft Calling Plans — we deliver all three.
One app, one identity, one place to answer the phone.
Microsoft Teams is already where users chat, meet, screen-share and keep files. Adding voice means one less app on every desk, one less account to manage, and one less reason to buy a separate handset.
Native Teams calling
Dial pad, voicemail, transfer, hold and conference inside the Teams app you already use. Same identity, same presence, same chat history.
Real PSTN numbers
Keep your existing UK geographic, non-geo and 0800 numbers, or take new ones in any UK city. Every Teams user can have their own DDI.
Three connectivity modes
Direct Routing via our SBC, Operator Connect via integrated carriers, or Microsoft Calling Plans where it makes sense. We pick what saves you most.
Auto attendants & queues
Build IVR menus, hunt groups, ring groups and queues using Microsoft Teams Auto Attendants and Call Queues — natively configured, no add-on platform.
Certified hardware
Yealink, Poly and Jabra Teams-certified handsets, headsets and speakerphones — provisioned out of the box, signed in via QR code.
Call analytics
Native Teams call quality reports plus our wrapper dashboards — concurrent calls, queue stats, abandoned rate, agent performance. Wallboards if you need them.
There are three ways to bring calls into Teams. We deliver all three.
Each connectivity mode has different cost, control and complexity trade-offs. Most UK businesses we deliver land on either Operator Connect (for simplicity) or Direct Routing (for flexibility on numbers, contact centre integration or international footprint). Calling Plans are the right answer in some corner cases.
- ✓Operator ConnectBuilt into the Teams admin centre. We provision the lines from our integrated carrier in a few clicks, you assign numbers to users. Best when you want simplicity and Teams as the only PBX.
- ✓Direct RoutingWe host the Session Border Controller, you bring any SIP carrier. Most flexibility — needed for contact centre integrations, multi-country, niche numbers and CRM popping.
- ✓Calling PlansMicrosoft handles carriage. Cleanest billing if you’re an all-in Microsoft shop with simple needs, but per-minute pricing is rarely the cheapest at scale.
- ✓Hybrid scenariosKeep your existing hosted PBX for the call centre and put back-office staff on Teams Phone — we run both side-by-side with shared numbering. Common during phased migrations.

Frequently asked questions
Which Microsoft 365 licence do users need?
Each Teams Phone user needs either Microsoft 365 E5 (which includes Teams Phone) or a base licence (Business Premium, E1/E3) plus a Teams Phone Standard add-on. We licence you correctly — many businesses we audit are over-licensed on E5 when E3 + Phone add-on would be £15/user/month cheaper.
Can we keep our existing numbers?
Yes. Every UK number is portable into Teams. We schedule the port window out-of-hours and there’s typically a 30-minute cut-over during which calls briefly route through fallback before swinging fully onto Teams.
Do users need a physical handset?
No. Most Teams Phone users live entirely in the Teams app — desktop, mobile and web. We supply Yealink or Poly Teams-certified handsets for users who want one (reception, executives, shared meeting rooms), and Jabra or Poly USB/Bluetooth headsets for everyone else.
What about contact centre features?
Teams Auto Attendants and Call Queues cover light contact-centre use (queues, music on hold, basic reporting). For true contact centre — supervisor wallboards, agent skills routing, call recording with retention, CRM screen-pop and outbound campaigns — we integrate Akixi, Anywhere365, Luware or Solgari, all of which sit natively inside Teams.
Will it work for our remote workers?
Yes — that’s the whole point. Teams Phone works the same on a home laptop, an office desk and a mobile phone. Calls follow the user, not the desk. Hybrid teams are the strongest argument for moving to Teams Phone in the first place.
